Bonny Bolton

Always a favourite of mine, Bolton Museum and Aquarium is one of those hidden gems that help keep you busy on a Sunday afternoon. Especially if you struggle with crowds and noise (like many of us with Autism) this is the perfect place to go.

There is plenty to look at at the museum with all the galleries based on the 1st floor. Local history, stuffed animals, dinosaurs, modern and historical art. There truly is something for everyone.

Love this painting of local celebrity Amir Khan. The ultra realistic portrait and style gives a huge sense of movement in the painting. Treading the line between abstract and portrait this piece is greatly unique in it's style.
